HSR Refresher OHS Training Course – Plant

This course is an opportunity to revisit aspects of the HSR Initial OHS Training Course and refresh your knowledge of the Legislative Framework, HSR Powers and Risk Management to name a few. The course utilises case studies to identify and control hazards related to plant which will help improve the knowledge and skills of HSRs and Deputy HSRs.

HSR Refresher OHS Training Course – Work related violence

Workplace violence is a real issue in many workplaces.  This interactive “HSR” training course includes relevant case studies and activities where HSRs can learn more about participating in the identification, prevention and control of the risks associated with work related violence.

 

 

The HSR Refresher OHS Training Courses, although primarily developed for HSRs and Deputy HSRs are also relevant for managers, supervisors, Health and Safety Committee members and any other employee who has an interest in learning about and promoting health and safety in the workplace.

The HSR Refresher OHS Training Courses are interactive; activity based and provide an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of workplace hazards.

 

HSR Refresher OHS Training Course Prerequisites

HSRs and Deputy HSRs attending a HSR Refresher OHS Training Course must have completed the HSR Initial OHS Training Course.

 

HSR Refresher OHS Training Course Delivery Method

The HSR Refresher OHS Training Courses are delivered face-to-face over 1 day. There is a limit of 20 participants per training session. Each participant will receive:

• Comprehensive HSR Refresher OHS Training Course manual
• Resources that can be used back in the workplace.

Participants will also receive a Certificate of Attendance on completion of the 1-day course.

• In-house course delivery from $250 per person + Materials + Travel (ex GST) .

If enrolling to complete the HSR Refresher OHS Training Course online, please note that payment is required to complete the registration. Following receipt of your enrolment, you will be requested by email to complete an “HSR Refresher OHS Training Course Training Registration Form”.

For Action OHS Consulting to issue you an invoice for the training please contact us, our administration team will then contact you and issue an invoice (if requested).

Significant reductions in the investment may be applied for workplaces that schedule for the HSR Refresher OHS Training Course to be completed onsite.

HSR/Deputy HSR Entitlements

Under the Victorian OHS Act 2004 (section 67) all elected HSRs and Deputy HSRs, after completing an initial course of training, have an entitlement (for each year they hold office) to attend an HSR Refresher OHS Training Course.  HSRs and Deputy HSRs can also choose the HSR Refresher OHS Training Course they attend (in consultation with their employer). The employer must allow the HSR/DHSR time off work with pay and also pay the reasonable costs associated with attendance at the HSR Refresher OHS Training Course.

WorkSafe Approved

Action OHS Consulting has been approved by WorkSafe Victoria to deliver the HSR Refresher OHS Training Course. In addition, our Trainers have the requisite skills, knowledge, and understanding of OHS Legislation as applicable to the powers, entitlements, and protection of HSRs and Deputy HSRs.
